Nice and Different Saree Blouses

It is really refreshing to see people trying to do different things with saree blouses. Here are some favourites of mine.

1. Jacqueline Fernandes at IIFA 2010 – I don’t like the pallu or the fall of the saree but love the concept of the saree blouse.

2. Deepika – love the blouse… but not the tied cord at top!

3. Another blouse that’s not symmetrical

4. Sangeetha (South India) – I like the short sleeves of the blouse and also the saree..

5. Bipasha Basu – like the blouse but not the drape…

All about Sarees

Have you ever wished you can do something really girlish with your sarees other than going with the same traditional drape and blouse styles your mom or even your grandma wears?

Quite lately girls are doing just that. But still we’re limited for designs termed “in-style” rather that what is really “you”.

This blog Desi Fashion Police is a wonderful place with a vast collection of so many innovative things to do with sarees. It offers good guidance for ladies who’d like to try something new without looking like a total disaster.

Among the posts you find new blouse designs, various saree draping methods, guide to accessorising an outfit…. even posts on the mistakes we do!

Yes, the posts about our blunders made me write this post… I have so many people to guide me on how to do something but nobody ever warns me of possible pitfalls. So I’m most grateful to the Desi Fashion Police.
